Constructive thought for a healthy body, Edgar Cayce

"Keep in that of constructive thought; because, to be sure, the thoughts of the body act upon the emotions as well as the assimilating forces.

Poisons are accumulated or produced by anger or by resentment or animosity.

Keep sweet! "

Sincere friendship, Edgar Cayce

(Q) In what way can I show my sincerity to those that I like, and have them take a liking to me?
(A) As given so oft through this channel, if one would have friends, one must show self friendly. Begin with the spiritual aptitudes and attitudes. For it it the spirit ye entertain that counts, and the application through the mind may bring into material experience pleasant companionship. If you would have love, you must show yourself lovely. If you would have others kind to thee, be kind to others. Be patient, be longsuffering, show forth brotherly love.

Helpful hopefulness, Edgar Cayce

"Keep to those purposes, those attitudes of helpful hopefulness; that the opportunities accorded may be used in service to others.

Such an attitude kept in the mental forces will bring the renewing of the faith in the divine, which is the heritage of every soul."

Warm-heartedness and compassion are good for our health, Dalai Lama

"The ultimate source of a happy life is warm-heartedness.

This means extending to others the kind of concern we have for ourselves.

On a simple level we find that if we have a compassionate heart we naturally have more friends.

And scientists today are discovering that while anger and hatred eat into our immune system, warm-heartedness and compassion are good for our health.

People are like stained-glass windows, Elisabeth Kübler-Ross

"People are like stained-glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within."

Peace from within, unaffected by outside circumstances, M.Gandhi

And peace to be real must be unaffected by outside circumstances.”

Happiness arises as a result of different causes and conditions, Dalai Lama

"Happiness arises as a result of different causes and conditions.

If you harm someone out of anger, you may feel some superficial satisfaction, but deep down you know it was wrong.

Your confidence will be undermined.

However, if you have an altruistic attitude, you’ll feel comfortable and confident in the presence of others."

                                                                                              ~ Dalai Lama

Be glad for the opportunity to be alive at this time, Edgar Cayce

"Be glad you have the opportunity to be alive at this time, and to be a part of that preparation for the coming influences of a spiritual nature that must rule the world.

These are indicated, and these are part of thy experience.

Be happy of it, and give thanks daily for it."
